Do I Need a Referral?
- A referral from a GP or Medical Specialist is not required to access dietitian services.
- However, referrals are always welcomed, as they provide important background and help us plan your initial session.
Fees & Payment
- Patients are responsible for all fees associated with their care, including any portion not covered by Medicare, private health insurance, or other third-party funding sources.
- Dietetic services at Cancer Care Nutrition are fee-for-service; we are not a bulk-billing practice.
- Please contact us to request a copy of our schedule of fees.
Medicare Rebate
- Medicare rebates may apply if your GP has set you up with a Chronic Condition Management Plan. Contact your GP to see if you are eligible.
Private Health Insurance
- If you have extras cover with your private health insurance, you may be eligible for a rebate - please contact your provider for details on what is covered by your plan.
Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA)
- DVA Gold Card holders do not have to pay for this service
